JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department wants to notify Jamestown residents regarding a new high risk sex offender who is residing within the city of Jamestown.

Magregr Rand Obregon lives at 1530 6 Ave SW #26 Buffalo Motel Jamestown.

Obregon has been assigned a High risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee, Office of the Attorney
General.

Offense: Sexual Assault-victim 15-18, 2 counts. When Obregon was 28 years old, he grabbed a 16-year-old female’s
buttocks on numerous occasions and touched the female’s breasts making the female feel uncomfortable. Conviction Date: 03/24/2025 in Griggs County District Court. Disposition: 5 years; 4 years 3 months suspended; serve 9 months; 3 years supervised probation; concurrent with case 20-2024-CR-14.

Offense: Luring Minor by Computer. When Obregon was 28 years old, he sent a video to a 17-year-old female of him and
another female having sexual intercourse and asked the female to send him a nude photo of herself. Conviction Date: 03/24/2025 Griggs County District Court. Disposition: 5 years; 4 years 3 months suspended; serve 9 months; 3 years supervised probation.

Obregon is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant
for public safety and not to increase fear in the community, nor should this information be used to threaten, assault, or intimidate the offender. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten these offenders or their families, landlords, or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
