VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City School Board approved of a new five-year agreement with the city to extend the contract of School Resource Officer Sean Hagen.
Police Chief Nick Horner said the position has also assisted with mental health issues with students.
Valley City Mayor Dave Carlsrud talked about why he and the city support the school resource officer position.
Superintendent Josh Johnson says officer Hagen has made a positive impact on students and others in the school district.
Police Officer Sean Hagen has been the School Resource Officer since January of 2017.
The Valley City School board unanimously approved of the agreement during their regular board meeting on November 12th.
