JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and staff joined The Arts Center on Thursday, November 13 to celebrate the grand opening of its newly completed expansion with an official ribbon cutting. The Arts Center is located at 115 2nd St. SW and can be reached by calling (701) 251-2496.
The 4,000-square-foot addition includes a classroom, culinary kitchen, artist studios, gallery commons, and office and storage space. The expansion increases The Arts Center’s capacity for community programming, art education, and events serving both youth and adults. This project is the result of a multi-year effort led by the Jamestown Fine Arts Association.
The building was acquired in 2023, with construction beginning in 2024. The capital campaign, “Raising the Bar for the Arts,” continues to support future phases, including the renovation of upstairs apartments for visiting artists and the development of an outdoor courtyard.
The culinary kitchen was built in partnership with Jamestown Public Schools and the James Valley Career and Technology Center and is expected to host student-led culinary classes beginning in 2026. When not in use by local schools, the space will be used for Arts Center programming and other licensed kitchen needs.
The Chamber congratulates The Arts Center on this important milestone and its continued investment in the growth, enrichment, and creative vitality of the Jamestown community.
