SIOUX FALLS, SD – For a team that had a rough season, this was a very good way to finish.

Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Volleyball wrapped up their first season in the NSIC with a five-set win Saturday over Augustana 20-25, 25-20, 25-13, 21-25, 15-10 at the Elmen Center.

Gracie Adamson had 18 kills and a block for the Jimmies (1o-17, 5-15 NSIC).  Addison Brooke had nine kills (.318), two solo blocks and 2 block assists.  Kyleigh Schopp scored eight kills (.231) with three block assists.  Caroline Puetz had seven kills (.368) and had a solo block and four block assists.  Sophie Ketterling had a career-high 25 digs.  Ava Bertsch had 23 set assists while Lily Bertsch had 19.

After Augustana (14-14, 8-12) won the first set, Jamestown hit a combined .265 with 26 kills to take the second and third sets.  Augustana won set four before Jamestown scored six of the first eight points in the fifth set.  Puetz, Schopp and Brooke had kills in that run.  The Vikings were within 6-4 before a 5-1 run by the Jimmies that included kills by Brooke, Lily Bertsch and Schopp.  Augustana scored three straight before a kill by Schopp.  Adamson had kills for Jamestown’s last two points.

The Jimmies had 58 kills, five aces and nine blocks.  Augustana scored 51 kills, seven aces and nine blocks.
