GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NDTIA) – The newly organized North Dakota Travel Industry Alliance (NDTIA) announces its formal launch and the release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking a qualified management company or individual to administer the association’s operations and advance North Dakota’s travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
NDTIA, formerly the Destination Marketing Association of North Dakota (DMAND), represents a broad cross-section of the state’s visitor economy, including destination marketing organizations, attractions, events, outdoor recreation operators, hotels, restaurants, bars and related businesses. In Spring 2025 the organization updated its name, expanded membership
and revised its mission to provide a unified voice and broader services for the industry. Members of the Travel Alliance Partnership (TAP) transitioned to NDTIA following TAP’s dissolution in Summer 2025. The selected management company/individual will provide comprehensive services including executive and administrative support, membership recruitment and retention, financial administration, government lobbying and advocacy, website and social media development, industry event planning and regular reporting to the membership.
“Tourism is a leading industry across North Dakota yet may do not understand the breath and impact that travel and hospitality have on our economy and quality of life,” said Sara Otte Coleman, Tourism and Marketing Division Director. “This organization will elevate that awareness and bring together our diverse tourism sectors.”
“We are thrilled to launch the North Dakota Travel Industry Alliance and unite the full spectrum of our state’s travel, tourism and hospitality partners,” said Julie Rygg, NDTIA President. “Finding a qualified management company or individual is critical to building momentum and fulfilling our promise to NDTIA members.”
The request for proposal may be found here. Response deadline is end of business, Friday, January 23, 2026. Questions regarding the RFP should be directed to Julie Rygg at julie@visitgrandforks.com or 701.746.0444 by end of business Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
