MINOT – Emily Novak and Celia Jaeger had runner-up finishes and three other Jamestown Jimmie women’s wrestlers finished fourth in their weight classes Saturday in the Beaver Bash at the Minot State Dome.

Novak, wrestling at 180 pounds, pinned Madilyn Shuck of Minot State in 2:12 in the quarterfinal round.  In the semifinal, Novak pinned Nina Sandoval of the Beavers in only 57 seconds.  MSU’s Lillian Garrett pinned Novak in the championship match.

At 207, Jaeger pinned Kaitlyn Gay of Dakota Wesleyan in only 27 seconds in the quarterfinals.  She needed a decision in the semifinal, but won it 12-5 over Dahlia Silva.  Zoe Adam of Sioux falls beat Jaeger in the title match by technical fall.

Fourth-place finishers were Leah Willard at 160 pounds, Kiera Hagman at 124 and Nora Houglum at 131.

The Jimmies now have a break from competition.  They will be at the Chadron State Open on January 10.
