ROMEOVILLE, IL – The last 20 minutes turned out to be the best 20 minutes.

Ninth-ranked Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Men’s Hockey scored three times in the third period Sunday to blast past 17th-ranked Utah 4-1 in the Jimmies’ final game of the Chicago Classic at Canlan Sports-Romeoville.

Marcus Fritel started the third period onslaught for Jamestown (12-9-1-0) with his fourth at 8:41, assisted by James Hooton and Jordan Baranesky.

Carson Brown’s power play goal, his ninth, at 11:08 made the Jimmie lead 3-1.  Raymond Warrack assisted.

Wyatt Johnson scored his third into an empty net to clinch the UJ win with 55 seconds remaining.

Gion Coray scored a power play goal in the first period for Utah (8-8-0-0), but Hooton tied the game for the Jimmies with a power play marker at 10:59 of the second, set up by Brown and goalie Brandon Weare.

Weare made 33 saves on 34 Utah shots.  The Utes outshot the Jimmies 34-32.  Jamestown was 2-for-7 on the power play and Utah was 1-for-9.

UJ will return to Midwest Collegiate Hockey play against UMary on Wednesday, December 3 at 7:00 PM at Wilson Arena.
