The business was started in 1953 by Jerome Docktor and Bob Brastrup. Gun and Reel started out as a 25′ store front and now is 75′. Originally Gun and Reel was a hunting and fishing store with some athletic equipment. Now the store has expanded into power sports and has two full time mechanics. Gun and Reel’s claim is Central North Dakota’s only full line sporting goods store with “Everything for the Sportsmen”
