FARGO, N.D. (December 3, 2025) A local game designer and publisher, Jonathan Zimmerman, is aiming to bring a fresh, immersive game experience to family tables across the country and he is turning to his community to help him make it happen. On January 17, 2026, Jonathan Zimmerman of Alchemic Games, will be launching a Kickstarter campaign. He is seeking $65,000 to mass-produce his new board game, Symbol Swap. Symbol Swap is a highly engaging, strategy driven, family-friendly game for all ages that can be played numerous ways. It blends strategy, creativity and fun!

From creator Jonathan, “Symbol Swap is for everyone because it encompasses a wide range of play styles. It can go from laid back with your friends, to chaotic and more competitive, you can play with 2 people for a short game or eight people in a very long game. It is always different each time”

The Kickstarter will offer backers exclusive benefits. The base price for the retail version of Symbol Swap with be $45, but we are offering a special “early bird” rate of $40 to the first 200 backers on January 17, 2026. There will be a limited number of “signed & sealed” game boards autographed by the designer that will also feature premium components. These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis when a backer pledges at the time of the Kickstarter campaign.
