JAMESTOWN – Afton Leingang scored a hat trick and it was the difference Friday as Mandan defeated Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Hockey 3-2 at Wilson Arena.

Leingang scored first for the Braves (2-1-0-0, 1-1-0-0 League) 1:54 into the game.

Jamestown (0-2-1-0, 0-2-0-0) evened the game with a power play goal by Addy Gerhadt at 9:35 of the first period, assisted by Izzy Maddock and Anna Lunde.

Leingang answered with a power play goal for Mandan with 34 seconds remaining in the second period.  She again scored 4:13 into the third.

Lunde, set up by Maci Fisher, scored with 5:09 left in period three.

Blue Jays goalie Ady Bakalar made 30 saves.  Each team was 1-for-4 on the power play.  Mandan had 33 shots to Jamestown’s 21.

Jamestown will play at West Fargo United on Friday, December 12.
