VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Girls Hi-Liner Co-Wrestler of the Week for the first week of wrestling ending on December 7, 2025 is Keighty Harris.  She joins Addison Leick as Wrestler of the Week.

Keighty is a 7th Grader that wrestles in the 112 lb weight class for the Hi-Liner Girls Wrestling Team. Keighty has a 6-0 record in her last 6 matches for the Hi-Liners.  In her most recent tournament in Jamestown.  Keighty went 3-0 and in doing so captured the 112 lb title.  All 3 wins were by pin.  In her last match, Keighty was wrestling 9th grader, Emma Dutt, Central Cass,  who was ranked 8th at 118 lbs in Dakota Grappler’s preseason poll. In the first period, Dutt jumped put to a 7-0 lead in the first period.  Keighty narrowed the margin to 8-6 at the end of the first period with reversal and a 4-point near fall.   The second period belonged to Keighty Harris, as she hit a powerful headlock shortly after the period started, and ended the match a short time later with a pin.  That headlock and pin can be seen here —->  https://youtu.be/JkWP6gC9XA4

Being a part of a team with an amazing coach and getting to go somewhere I’m praised and not lectured
You’re only a few weeks into your high school wrestling career. Is there anything about the sport of wrestling that is different than what you expected/envisioned? :nope
What would you say to a girl that is thinking about joining VCHS Girl Wrestling?: it’s fun if you want it to be but if u take it as punishment or something u have to do it wont be fun anymore so take it as something u GET to do
Bonus question:  In your championship match vs Emma Dutt from Central Cass, between the first and second periods, we could see that you were visiting with her and having a laugh.  What were you talking about?:  yeah-we were talking about how she is a ranked wrestler and I told her that that’s awesome
