VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – John L. Monilaws, will again strike up the Band as Maestro of the 29th Annual “We’re in the Christmas Mood” show, which is produced every year by the EBC Fraternity Alumni Committee. The show will return to the beautiful Nome Schoolhouse in Nome ND for two shows. Saturday, Dec. 13th for a Dinner Concert event and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14th for a Dessert Concert Event.

“It’s our 29th show and are excited for another year” states John Monilaws who has be the shows Maestro and producer since it began. Monilaws is retired from a 30-year career of teaching music. He is currently the director of the Valley Troubadours Men’s ensemble from Valley City and adjudicates several music festivals throughout the state.

Local performers include Tricia Lebahn and her daughter Alana of Litchville, Lance Drevecky and his son Dana from Valley City. High school Student Cooper Anderson a freshman at VCPS will be joining the orchestra this year.

This year’s show will again feature the Enderlin Area Children’s’ Choir under the direction of Valley City State University graduate Stephanie Hoy. The group will be featured on 2 selections of their own and they sing with the entire cast on the final selection. “This is a very talented group of young Musicians,” “we are fortunate these kids and their director agreed to perform with us again.

The “We’re in the Christmas Mood” is a family friendly show suitable for all ages. The show features an 18-piece Big Band Orchestra and several vocal ensembles and solo performers throughout the night. “There is nothing more beautiful than the
wonderful sounds of Christmas” states Monilaws.
