
VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Bluegrass Jams will be held Saturday, December 13th starting with the 11:00 am – noon session, the Beginner Bluegrass Jam, featuring easy music and slow paced playing and singing. Most numbers are in the bluegrass-friendly key of G and most use the G and D or D7 chords. Instruments included are six-string guitar, fiddle, mandolin, 5-string banjo, Dobro guitar, upright bass, and ukulele. We have Instruments on hand to try out. No cost!
The afternoon session runs from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and is a regular, open acoustic bluegrass jam for musicians with their basic playing skills in place. Instruments included are six-string guitar, fiddle, mandolin, 5-string banjo, Dobro guitar, and upright bass. There is no charge to participate and listeners are welcome.
