BURNSVILLE, MN – For the first time, Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Basketball has an NSIC weekly award winner.

Senior guard Anthony Walters was named as the league’s North Division Player of the Week for the period ending December 13.

As the Jimmies defeated Bemidji State 98-94 in triple overtime and edged Minnesota Duluth 71-70, Walters averaged 24.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while making 18-of-35 shots and 9-of-17 three pointers.

Walters scored 22 points with seven rebounds and five assists in the win over the Beavers and had 27 points, the most by a Jimmie this season, and five rebounds in the win over the Bulldogs.

Walters is sixth in NSIC scoring at 18.8 points per game.  He has made 42 percent of his three-pointers, ninth best in the conference.
