JAMESTOWN – A good run had been interrupted by the holiday break, but it continued Saturday for Jamestown Blue Jays Boys Hockey.

Braxton Burkett and Bennett Goehner each scored two goals as the Jays, helped by a 4-for-5 power play, routed Williston 7-2 at Wilson Arena.

Jamestown (5-2-0-0, 5-1-0-0 WDA) now has four consecutive victories and completed a regular season sweep of the Coyotes (3-4-1-1, 2-4-1-1).

Only 2:24 into the game, Gavin Schafer scored from Brady Nenow for a 1-0 JHS lead.  The Blue Jays led 3-0 after one thanks to goals only 38 seconds apart.  A power play goal by Parker Roelfsema, assisted by Burkett and John Bezler, happened at 15:19.  At 15:57, Nenow set up the first goal by Burkett.

Williston struck with Isaac Norple at 3:58 of the second period, then drew to within 3-2 when Nicholas Bender scored on the power play at 11:56.

Goehner then scored twice on the power play late in the middle period.  Bezler set Goehner up at 14:06, then he scored again from Roelfsema at 16:34.

Cole Bullinger scored at 3:12 of the third, assisted by Brady Anderson, then Burkett scored on the power play to end the scoring from Roelfsma and Nenow at 8:49.
