mulitple-crashes

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to numerous weather-related traffic incidents on Interstate 94 in Stutsman and Barnes counties Sunday afternoon, including vehicles entering ditches, multiple crashes, and a semi-rollover injury crash.

Icy road conditions due to freezing rain led to the multiple crashes, the Highway Patrol said in a Facebook post just after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 4.

Motorists are urged to reduce speed, increase following distances, and remain alert during icy road conditions accompanied by dense fog.

North Dakota Department of Transportation and the Highway Patrol are asking drivers to use extra caution when approaching and passing snowplows and other vehicles during icy road conditions.
