LaMoure-Litchville/Marion pulled away in the second half behind strong performances from Colby Thielges and Avery Kramer to outlast the Maple River Raiders. The first half was a low-scoring slugfest, with the Loboes holding a slim 20-17 lead as neither team found much rhythm offensively. L-L-M used a late run in the third quarter to stretch its lead to seven entering the fourth, then put the game away by outscoring Maple River 19-9 in the final frame to secure the win and advance to Thursday’s semifinals.

Valley City 66, Enderlin 32

Enderlin stayed within striking distance early behind a barrage of first-half 3-pointers from Ethan Cimbura, as the Eagles and Hi-Liners traded long-range shots with Valley City taking a 37-27 lead into halftime. The third quarter, however, turned into a runaway. Valley City senior Miken Mattson continued his hot shooting while the Eagles’ offense dried up, as the Hi-Liners outscored Enderlin 25-3 in the period. Jack Dieterle added a double-double for Valley City, and a running clock quickly closed out the fourth quarter.

Wyndmere-Lidgerwood 55, Barnes County North 53

The most competitive game of the day saw Wyndmere-Lidgerwood rally late to complete a dramatic comeback win over Barnes County North. The Bison appeared to seize control in the second quarter, building a 25-9 lead with 3:30 remaining. The Warbirds responded by closing the half on an 11-3 run to trim the deficit to eight at the break.

The teams traded baskets throughout the third quarter, with Barnes County North carrying a 45-38 lead into the fourth. Wyndmere-Lidgerwood quickly tied the game at 45, but a 3-pointer by Jayson Schlenker put the Bison back in front. Barnes County North held a 53-48 advantage with 1:30 remaining, but a series of costly turnovers fueled a Warbirds rally. Blaise Frolek capped the run with a go-ahead jumper with 20 seconds left. The Bison’s final heave from half court came up short, sealing the comeback victory.
