
Forman, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornadoes were unable to come back after falling behind early to the Sargent County Bulldogs losing by a score of 49-24.
The game started with the Bulldogs going 8/14 from the field in the opening quarter while allowing Oakes only 4 field goals. Karleigh Kadoun scored 10 in the opening frame as well to give Sargent County a 21-8 lead. The Bulldogs slightly extended their lead in the 2nd quarter as neither team was able to score too much as the lead would extend to 28-13 at the half.
Their would be no changing in score differential as neither team could get a solid foothold in the 3rd quarter with a score of 34-19. The Bulldogs would lock it up the 4th going on a 15-5 run in the quarter to win the game 49-24.
The Tornadoes shot 11/33 unofficially with Aliyah Friedt leading the way with 12 going 6/10. Sargent County went 19/49 unofficially with Karleigh Kadoun leading the Bulldogs and all around scoring with 15 going 5/13 from the field and 2/4 from the line.
Aliyah Friedt was named Bank North Player of the Game.
The Tornadoes are back in action Saturday the 10th in Sisseton.
