CHADRON, NE – In their first event of 2026, Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Wrestling had five athletes place, including a third-place finish by Emily Novak, at the Eagle Women’s Open at Chadron State University’s Nelson Physical Activity Center.
Novak was third at 180 pounds, taking three victories by technical fall, including in the third-place match over Dahlia Silva of Minot State.
Leah Willard (160), Ann Meiman (145) and Koiline Govergo (207) finished fifth.
Nora Houglum was sixth at 131 pounds.
The Jimmies will host Dickinson State and Minot State in the Jimmie Duals on Sunday, January 18 at 3:00 PM at Harold Newman Arena.
