MINOT – Four games have meant four losses this season for Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Women’s Hockey against the Minot State Beavers.

Minot State held off Jamestown 3-2 on Saturday at Maysa Arena.

A shorthanded goal by Journey Miller in the first period sent Minot State (9-5-1-5) up 1-0.  Payton Lang doubled the lead in the second period.

Maddison Andrew put Jamestown (6-11-0-1) on the scoreboard with a power play goal at 7:42 of the third period, assisted by Mikaela Nimitz.

At 8:31, Makenna Beard restored the Beavers’ two-goal lead at 3-1.

Alivia Tilbury scored her first from Nimitz and Kelsey Amick at 11:14 for the game’s final goal.

Minot State outshot Jamestown 34-24.  Lilah Drew played in goal for UJ and made 31 saves.

The Jimmies will host Indiana Tech on Sunday, January 18 at noon at Wilson Arena.
