AUSTIN, TX – Jamestown native Makenna Nold of Concordia St. Paul has been named by College Sports Communicators as the Academic All-American® of the Year for Division II volleyball.

Nold, the former Blue Jay standout and North Dakota Gatorade Volleyball Player of the Year, maintains a 4.00 cumulative GPA at CSP as a nursing major.

Nold was named as the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Player of the Year, as she led the Golden Bears to a runner-up finish in the NCAA Championship.  She was second in the nation in total kills with 563, eighth in total attacks with 1,334 and 11th in kills per set with 4.40.
