
ABERDEEN, SD – Northern State swept an indoor track & field dual Thursday from the Jamestown Jimmies at the Barnett Center.
Northern State’s women earned a 109-48 win and the Wolves men defeated the Jimmies 100-54.
Jamestown did have individual event wins. For the women, Greta Goven won the 800 meters in 2:29.05. Lydia Franson won the mile in a time of 5:12.01. Hallie Person took the 3000 meter race in 10:49.99. Brenna Held threw 12.20 meters (40 feet, 1/2 inch) to win the shot put.
Gavyn Graham won for the Jimmie men in the 800 meters in 2:04.70. Braden Kinzler took the mile event in 4:32.61. Aaron Devine won by over 12 minutes in the 3000 meters at 9:20.65. Evan Schmit won the shot put, throwing 15.55 meters (51 feet, 1/4 inch).
Both Jimmie teams will compete in the UMary Winter Classic on January 24 in Bismarck.
