VALLEY CITY, ND (Ryan Cunningham, NewsDakota.com) A water issue has forced Valley City State to move their home basketball series to Jamestown this weekend.
Water infiltrated the playing surface over the past weekend, due to not being discovered. Parts of the floor are unplayable, forcing the move.
With schedules dependent on travel partners participating, flipping the dates till later is not feasible. Valley City State will use the Jamestown Civic Center for the games, and move the Friday games to Sunday.
The Vikings will host Dickinson State Saturday at the regular times of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Sunday’s games are scheduled for 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
Passes for the games will not be honored.
It is unclear if further home games will be affected.
