LISBON (NewsDakota)- The Carrington girls wrestling team finished in fourth place overall and Khendra Garcia continued her senior season with another dominant performance with a perfect 3-0, two tech falls, and a pin the championship match over a very good Mylee Christianson of Valley City as part of the 2026 Storhaug Girls Tournament. Garcia teched Lexi Dill of Oakes 21-5 in the first period in her opening match and followed with a 17-2 tech over Ashlyn Lee of Jamestown in the semifinals. Garcia would also take home the outstanding wrestler award for the 148-250 divisions.

Anna White (106 champ) and Grace Lemar (142 champ) from Central Cass would get the outstanding wrestler awards for the lower weight divisions. Lemar notched her 150th career win during the tournament.
The Cards would finish the tourney with 102.5 points and had 5 additional wrestlers place in the top 6. Madalina Ciubotareanu finished third at 142, Grace Inglish fourth at 100, Kenzie Jost fourth at 130, Nevaeh Sorenson fifth at 190, and Linda Yuja sixth at 124.
Lisbon won the tournament with 203 points and crowned 3 champions, Kaydence Golding (118), Adaleene Hansen (124), and Ava Carlblom (155). The Broncos added 2 runner-ups at 170 (Alexis Reiner) and at 250 (Ella Sad). Central Cass would finish second with 159 points. Valley City would finish third (138.5) with one champion at 136 (Deegan Kirschenmann). The Hi-Liners added 3 runner-ups as well with Bethani Schuldheisz (112), Hailey Ford (130), and Christianson (148). Devils Lake and Northern Cass tied for fifth place with 100.5 points.
The Carrington girls next action will be next Saturday at the Rugby tournament.
