BISMARCK – A very good enough effort wasn’t quite good enough for a win for Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Basketball, while the Blue Jay boys struggled again.

Legacy defeated Jamestown’s girls 57-55 on Saturday at Haussler Gym, then the Legacy boys were 76-49 winners over the Jays.

Girls: Legacy 57, Jamestown 55
Legacy (7-3, 4-3 WDA) withstood consistent play from Jamestown (3-6, 1-5), which was trying for a second straight win.

Macey Neumiller led the Blue Jays with 21 points. Claire Marker scored 8.

Boys: Legacy 76, Jamestown 49
Aiden Schmidt scored 16 to top four players in double figures for Legacy (6-4, 4-3). Maniya Berryhill and Jonathan Roubideaux had 14 each. Jackson Jordan scored 12.
