VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The wrestler of the week for the Hi-Liners Sponsored by The Window Man, is Kallen Hansen. Kallen is an 8th grader that wrestles at 160 pounds for the Hi-Liners. Kallen has had numerous signature wins this season on the varsity for the Hi-Liners, most notably against Northern Cass earlier in the season and Tuesday January 20th versus Linton. Kallen used his signature sweep single to rack up takedowns against his Linton opponent before earning the technical fall with a 17-1 score at the 3:30 mark helping propel the Hi-Liners to a 47-20 dual victory. Kallen has shown great improvement this season, works hard, and isn’t afraid to try new techniques in his wrestling. Kallen doesn’t miss practice and is a great role model for our younger wrestlers on the team. Kallen is a year round athlete for the Hi-Liners as he competes in Football in the fall, Wrestling in the winter, Golf in the spring, and Baseball in the summer. Kallen is also a member of the VCHS Honor roll.
