VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Public School board received a few updates from ICON Architectural Group and Construction Engineers about their School Facility Project 2028 during a regular school board meeting on January 21st.
In addition, Construction Engineers provided updated cost estimates for the new school, Jefferson Elementary, and the existing high school.
Superintendent Josh Johnson said these estimates reflect current information as of January 6, 2026. As we move forward, our school district continues to work closely with ICON and CE to ensure that the overall design and scope of the project align with the approved referendum budget of $46 million.
He said over the next few months our School Facility Steering Committee will continue to meet to review updated designs and cost estimates and to provide recommendations to the school board that will help guide the next steps of the project.
