
BISMARCK – Lydia Franson’s victory led Jamestown Jimmies Track & Field Saturday at the UMary Winter Classic at the University of Mary Fieldhouse.
In 5:10.82, Franson won the women’s mile and led Jamestown in taking four of the top five places. Hallie Person was third, Annabelle LaFary finished fourth and Greta Goven was fifth.
Also for the Jimmie women, LaFary, Franson, Madalyn Neumann and Goven were fourth in the 4×400 relay.
Fifth-place finishes were achieved by Saige Gustafson in the 60 meters, Ruth Harris in the pole vault and Brenna Held in the shot put.
Dawson Sedivec was fifth in the weight throw for the Jamestown men.
UJ will compete Friday and Saturday at the UND Open in Grand Forks.
