BISMARCK – Hope for Jamestown Blue Jays Boys Hockey to extend a three-game winning streak looked dim before a third period rally against Legacy.  However, the Sabers scored late.

Issac Jerome scored a deciding power play goal with 6:37 to play Friday and Legacy edged Jamestown 4-3 at the VFW Sports Center.

The Blue Jays (9-4-0-0, 9-3-0-0 WDA) were down 3-0 heading into the third period, but began the surge with a Parker Roelfsema goal at 56 seconds from John Belzer and Braxton Burkett.  Ethan Oettle cut the deficit to 3-2 at 3:02 from Belzer and Roelfsema.  Burkett tied the game at 8:34.

Kyler Renz scored twice in the first period for Legacy (13-3-3-0, 11-2-2-0) and Beau Raschke tallied in the middle period.

Leif Hanson stopped 21 shots in the Jamestown net.  Each team had 25 shots.

Through Friday, Jamestown had 27 points and stood in fourth place, one point ahead of Century and one point behind Mandan.

Jamestown will host West Fargo in a non-conference game Saturday evening at 7:30 PM at Wilson Arena.
