JAMESTOWN – Looking to play better before the postseason, 10th-ranked Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Women’s Hockey certainly did so on Saturday.

Mackenzie Couling, Reese Amick and Emma Durand all scored twice each as Jamestown easily defeated Minnesota 10-1 at Wilson Arena to stop a five-game losing streak.

The first period was scoreless, but Jamestown (7-13-1-1) had a six-goal second period, with goals from Durand, Kiara Perrett, Alivia Tilbury, the two by Couling and Amick.

Amick scored again in the first minute of the third period, with Gabriella Schroder, Durand and Bethany Wielgosh also scoring in the final frame.

Jamestown will again host Minnesota Sunday at noon at Wilson Arena.
