VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCSU) – Valley City State University announced the signing of 32 athletes on Monday, Feb. 2 for the upcoming 2026 season. All 32 student-athlete have signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at VCSU.
VCSU Head Coach Dennis McCulloch said “we’re extremely excited about this class and the work that went into bringing these 32 young men to Valley City. This group reflects exactly what we want our program to be—tough, competitive, and built the right way. We’ve added quality depth from North Dakota and the surrounding region while also expanding our footprint nationally.” McCulloch adds “the transfers already on campus have hit the ground running, and we’re confident this entire class will make an immediate impact both on the field and in the locker room as we continue to build in the Frontier Conference.”
The incoming group includes five transfers and 27 high school seniors. So far, nine of the 27 high school seniors are from North Dakota. This year’s class also includes four athletes from Hawaii, three from Minnesota, two from Texas, Montana, and Idaho, and one each from Florida, Washington, Alaska, South Dakota, and Colorado.
The Vikings are scheduled to open the 2026 season on the road at Southwest Minnesota State in Marshall, Minnesota on Thursday Aug. 27th.
