
JAMESTOWN – Seventh-ranked Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Men’s Hockey is continuing good play near the end of their regular season.
Jamestown earned a fifth straight win Friday, blanking Waldorf 5-0 at Wilson Arena.
Brad Fortin scored twice as the Jimmies (21-11-1-0) scored all their goals in the first period. Brandon Weare stopped all 25 shots by Waldorf (13-14-1-0) for his fourth shutout this season and 25th in his career.
Fortin scored the only goal Jamestown needed just 21 seconds into the game, assisted by Raymond Warrack.
Kole Christensson scored at 6:48 from Darius Makse.
At 9:34, Fortin scored his second goal of the period and 18th of the season, set up by Carson Brown and Guerin Apperley, for a 3-0 Jimmie lead.
Carter Johnson scored at 14:47, assisted by Matthew McIntyre and James Hooton.
Only 22 seconds remained in the first period when Jacob Thomas completed the barrage with a goal from Jordan Baranesky and Stefan Bodtker.
The Jimmies outshot the Warriors 46-25.
Jamestown will play their final regular season home game against Waldorf at 7:00 PM on Saturday evening at Wilson Arena.
