Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Volleyball concluded their weekend in Iowa with two losses Saturday.  Jamestown fell to Morningside 25-13, 25-20, 21-25, 25-16.  Arizona Christian sent the Jimmies to a 1-3 stint with a straight set win, 25-22, 26-24, 25-21.

At Allee Gym in Sioux City, Morningside outkilled Jamestown 55 to 44 and hit .370, including .553 in the first two sets.

Natan Alves had 15 kills, three aces and 11 digs for the Mustangs (11-1).

Jamestown (2-6), who hit .194, was led by the 11 kills of Lucas Soeldner. Ladarius Williams had eight kills and three total blocks.

At DeWitt Gym in Sioux Center, Jamestown (2-7) played three tight sets, but lost to Arizona Christian (3-2).

Jarrett Spartz had 11 kills for the Firestorm. Caleb Merino had 10 kills and two total blocks.

Chase Hawkinson had 11 kills, an ace and three digs for the Jimmies. Williams had seven kills. Kaden Jenkins had 23 assists and six digs.

Next for Jamestown is a trip to Florida. Following an exhibition with Millenia Atlantic on Thursday in Doral, the Jimmies will face Barry University on Friday in Miami Shores.
