ORLANDO, F.L. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Hi-Lites Dance Team recently traveled to Orlando, Florida, to compete at the Dance Team Union (DTU) Nationals, taking the national stage against elite dance teams from across the country.

The Hi-Lites competed in both Small Varsity High Kick and Small Varsity Hip Hop divisions. In Hip Hop, the team advanced from preliminary rounds into semifinals, showcasing their strength and skill among a highly competitive field before narrowly missing a spot in finals.

In the High Kick division, the Hi-Lites continued their impressive run, advancing through semifinals and earning a place in the finals round. Their hard work and dedication paid off with a 9th place finish nationally, marking an outstanding achievement for the program and the Valley City community.
