WILLISTON – A rough week for Jamestown Blue Jays Basketball ended with a double loss on the road Saturday.
At Jon Cole Gym, the Blue Jay boys missed chances to tie the game in the last seconds and fell to Williston 79-76. Jamestown’s girls, who began the week with six wins in eight games, dropped their third straight game, falling 67-57 to the Coyotes.
Williston’s boys, who hadn’t won a conference game before a Friday victory against St. Mary’s, moved into an eighth-place tie with Jamestown and Minot North. All three teams are 2-13 in league play.
The Blue Jay girls now are 6-9 in conference and tied with St. Mary’s for seventh. They are a game behind Bismarck and Williston, who share fifth.
On Tuesday, the Jamestown girls have another big game at Minot North. Coverage will begin at around 5:45 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1. Also on Tuesday, the Blue Jays will host the Sentinels at Jerry Meyer Arena.
