An unassisted shorthanded goal by Grace Allmaras with four seconds to play in the first gave the Blue Jays (4-13-1-2, 4-13-0-2) their first goal in three games and cut Dickinson’s lead to 2-1 after one period.
Mya Hilton came back for Dickinson with a power play goal 57 seconds into the second period, then KeAna Hendrickson made the Maverick lead 4-1 at 2:49.
