
SIOUX FALLS, SD – An historic win provided an unforgettable moment for Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Tennis.
Jamestown earned its first win as a program Friday in its NSIC opener, edging Sioux Falls 4-3 at Huether Family Match Pointe.
Julie van Zeijl and Bodil van Zeijl combined for one doubles win in the number one flight and Mariia Sharandachenko and Anna Sharandanchenko clinched the point at number three.
Julie and Bodie van Zeijl both won their singles matches in the top two flights, then Mariia Sharandachenko clinched the overall win for the Jimmies (1-1, 1-0 NSIC) in the number four flight.
On Saturday, UJ will play 15-time defending conference champion Augustana at GREATLIFE Woodlake.
