MIAMI GARDENS, FL – To finish weekend play in Florida, Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Volleyball lost matches Sunday to Barry University and Warner University at Barry’s Health & Sports Center.

The Jimmies lost to Barry 25-12, 25-15, 25-19 and to Warner 14-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22.

Barry def. Jamestown, 25-12, 25-15, 25-19
Jacob Strnisa had 13 kills (.450) as Barry (9-3) defeated Jamestown (3-9) for the second time in three days. Strnisa also had three total blocks and six digs.

Jamestown, who managed only 19 kills and hit -.068, had five kills from Chase Hawkinson. Ladarius Williams and Joshua Crowley scored four kills each.

Warner def. Jamestown, 14-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22
Jamestown (3-10) had its best set of the day in the first set against Warner (2-3), not committing an error and having 15 kills while hitting .625. Lucas Soeldner had four kills in the first set where Jamestown never trailed.

Though the Jimmies played well the remainder of the match, the Royals also did, led by 13 kills and five blocks from Romone Rudolph and 12 kills by Derion Graham. Meric Akovali had 37 set assists.

Soeldner ended with 14 kills for the Jimmies. Hawkinson scored 11 and Williams had 10. Rowan Shaugnessy had 25 set assists.

Jamestown’s next action will be their two remaining home matches for this season. They both will be against Central Christian College on Saturday, February 28 at Harold Newman Arena, starting at 1:00 PM.
