
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado-Colorado Springs continued its assault on Jamestown Jimmie Baseball pitching Sunday, scoring 11 runs in the fifth inning on their way to a 16-7 win at Mountain Lion Park and a sweep of the four-game series.
UCCS (6-3) scored 43 runs against Jamestown (0-4) in the series.
James Harbison drove in five runs for the Mountain Lions and completed the fifth-inning outburst with a grand slam, his second home run of the game and his fifth of the season. Earlier in the inning, Cayden Gonzalez had a two-run single and Tyler Genrich and Nolan Oliver had two-run doubles. 15 batters came to the plate in the frame for UCCS.
Mason Shea and Trayson Kostial hit home runs for the Jimmies. Ryan Morales, the third of six Jamestown pitchers, took the defeat.
On Friday, the Jimmies will play their first game in the NSIC, starting a four-game series with Minnesota State.
