
FARGO – Mackenzie Stoddart was the lone place winner for Jamestown Blue Jays Wrestling at the 2026 NDHSAA State Individual Championships, which concluded Friday at the Fargodome.
Stoddart placed seventh among 136 pound girls. After she had won in the first consolation round Thursday to remain in the tournament, she pinned Sarah Novak of Grand Forks in 5:38 in the second consolation round. Stoddart lost in the third conso round in a technical fall to Emersyn Schwab of Lisbon, but then took the seventh place match, pinning Watford City’s Alexandra Langworthy in 3:31.
The other Blue Jay girl to advance to the second day was Lauryn Alexander at 190 pounds. Alexander was eliminated by a pin by Bismarck’s Lily Lugo in 4:58.
Two Jamestown boys had chances to place on Friday, but neither did. At 127 pounds, Cole Anderson was pinned in 1:12 by Bismarck’s Kayden Egeberg. 189-pound wrestler Jaxen Morris lost in a fall by Caleb Hosfield of Bismarck in 3:37.
