Jamestown, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Class B Girls Region 1 Tournament wraps up play on Thursday February 26th at the Jamestown Civic Center with the 3rd Place Game and the Region 1 Championship. You can catch all of the action on KDDR The Tornado and Thunder 98.3.

Third Place Game: Linton-HMB 46-31 Sargent County
The Lions are back to the State Qualifiers as they beat the Bulldogs by a final of 46-31. The game started even as neither team could get a good blow in with the Lions leading 12-7. The Lions defense would find another gear in the 2nd quarter as they would play extremely aggressive and take a 26-16 lead at the half. The Bulldogs would come out firing in the 3rd before the Lions locked back in and built the lead back to 33-22. The Lions would dominate in the final frame to take a 46-31 victory.
The Bulldogs season comes to a close with a 14-11 record. The Lions are on to play Saturday at the SHAC in Fargo against the Region 2 Runner Up.
Championship: #3 LaMoure-LM 46-42 EKM F/OT
The Loboes put up a successful Region 1 Title Defense as they beat the Rebels in OT 46-42. The game started out all Loboes as they quickly made it 14-3 through 1 quarter of play. The Rebels wouldn’t get their first field goal till the 2nd quarter and it’d be their only one of the half as the Loboes made it 23-8. The Rebles would then mount a comeback forcing turnovers and battling hard to make it 31-29 through 3. The Rebels would even take a lead in the 4th quarter before the Loboes took it back and the quarter would eventually end tied at 40-40. The Loboes would lock back in in the OT frame as they would go 2/2 from the field to propel them to Minot with a 46-42 victory
The Rebels will now play in the first game Saturday for the State Qualifiers against Griggs/Midkota. The Loboes are on to State.
