VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Candidates are required to file a Petition/Certificate of Nomination with signature of 2% of the electors who voted for that office in the last election; however, no more than 300 signatures are required.
Interested candidates can pick up the necessary forms from the Barnes County Auditor’s Office or online at VOTE.ND.GOV. Candidates must file the Petition/Certificate of Nomination and Affidavit of Candidacy, as well as the Statement of Interests with the Barnes County Auditor, before 4 p.m. on April 6, 2026.
The North Dakota Primary Election will be held on June 9th, 2026.
