
MANKATO, MN – Jamestown Jimmies Track & Field finished in the second half of the standings in both genders in the program’s first NSIC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which concluded Saturday at Minnesota State’s Myers Field House.
UJ’s women were 13th and the men finished 12th.
Brenna Held was one of the two placers for the Jimmie women, finishing fourth in the shot put, throwing 13.47m (44 feet, 2 inches). Lydia Franson was the other, running sixth in the mile in 5:03.91.
There were also two placers for the Jamestown men. Ashton Judge was second in the long jump at 7.35m (24 feet, 1 1/4 inches). Jobe Rystedt was eighth in the shot put, throwing 16.17m (53 feet, 1/2 inch).
The outdoor seasons for the Jimmies will begin March 26-28 at the Washington University Distance Carnival and the Saint John’s Optimistic Open.
