The Majettes and Demons may be the teams to beat.

With postseason just ahead, the Minot girls and Bismarck High boys remained number one in this season’s final North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters AA basketball polls, released Monday.

AA’s regional tournaments will take place this week.

In all 14 polls this season, including the preseason poll, the Majettes were number one.  Led by future Oklahoma Sooner and the all-time leading scorer in the top classification, Leelee Bell, Minot won the WDA regular season title, is 20-1 and is the top seed for this week’s West Region tournament.  EDC runner-up Davies is third in the final poll.  EDC regular season champion Horace tied for fourth.

Bismarck topped the boys poll for the last three weeks.  The Demons are 20-1 and won the WDA regular season championship for the first time since 2012.  Horace, the EDC regular season winner, is second.
