CARRINGTON, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released the name of a man who died in a collision late Monday afternoon on State Highway 200 six miles east of Carrington. He was 80-year-old Gary Boyer of Carrington.

The patrol says Boyer was driving a pickup that was hit by a semi as he was crossing an intersection. The semi struck the passenger side of Boyer’s pickup. The patrol report says Boyer was not wearing a seat belt. Both vehicles left the highway and came to rest in a field.

The semi driver, from Washburn, had minor injuries. He was taken to the hospital in Carrington.
