Pitching has at times been a struggle early in the season for Jamestown Jimmies Baseball, but it wasn’t at all on Sunday, and that was duly recognized.
Righthander Nolan McCaffery was named as the NSIC Pitcher of the Week.
On Sunday in Jamestown’s 11-0 seven-inning non-conference win over Concordia-St. Paul in Davenport, Florida, McCaffery, a redshirt sophomore from Missoula, Montana, shut out the Golden Bears on only three hits. He struck out seven and walked one. With the help of two double plays, McCaffery faced only two batters over the minimum.
