
The Jimmies’ leader has won another postseason honor.
Senior guard Anthony Walters of Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Basketball was named to the Division 2 Collegiate Coaches Association All-Central Region Men’s Basketball first team. Automatically, Walters advances to the All-American ballot.
Walters, a native of Rosedale, New York, within the borough of Queens, was fourth in NSIC scoring through Thursday, averaging 19.2 points per game. His 41 percent made three-point number is fourth in the conference. Walters also made 88 percent of his free throws in his senior season. He recently was named as the NSIC North Division Player of the Year.
Joining Walters on the first team are NSIC South Division Player of the Year Tameron Ferguson of Augustana, Lazerek Houston of Central Missouri, who was named as the Central Region Player of the Year, Terry Coner Jr. of Oklahoma Baptist and Jack Bachelor of Washburn.
