MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – A good season for Jamestown Jimmies ACHA Division 1 Men’s Hockey ended decisively.

Ninth-ranked Adrian shut out the eighth-ranked Jimmies Saturday 5-0 in the first round of the ACHA Men’s Championships at the Centene Community Ice Center.

Adrian (29-6-1-0) scored two goals in the first five minutes and controlled the game thereafter.  All 25 shots for Jamestown (23-13-1-0) were stopped by Bulldogs’ goalie Peyton Trzaska.

Jimmies’ goalie Brandon Weare made 29 saves.

Cale Strasky had a goal and two assists for Adrian.  Keegan Decaluwe and Hunter Allen had a goal and an assist each.

Decaluwe scored at 3:04 of the first period and Allen made the Adrian lead 2-0 at 4:54.

Sebastian Smith scored at 1:14 of the second period.

Blake Wideman scored with 5:46 remaining in the third period.  The Jimmies pulled Weare for a sixth skater with 4:48 to play, but Strasky scored into an empty net for Adrian just 10 seconds later.
