PULLMAN, WA – This was a frustrating first season in NSIC competition for Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Wrestling, but they experienced triumph on Saturday.

Jamestown won the NCWA Northwest Championships at Beasley Coliseum.  Seven Jimmies won individual weight classes and another was a runner-up.

The Jimmies scored 148 points, with host Washington State second with 128.5.

Isaac Ronquillo won at 125 pounds, pinning Washington’s Vinh Nguyen in 45 seconds in the title match.

Elijah Nose also scored a pin in the 133-pound title match, defeating Keven Martinez of Idaho in 4:20.

Maddox Campbell was the 157-pound champion, winning the title match in a 14-4 major decision over Brandon Stowe of Treasure Valley Community College.

Rocker Aguilar had two technical falls in his 165-pound win, including a 22-6 defeat of Treasure Valley’s Ruben Casner in the championship match.

Colton Schaad scored four wins to take the 174-pound title.   In the final, he dominated Idaho’s Robert Lee with a 13-1 major decision win.

Hayden Ramaeker had a battle in his 184-pound winning match.  Ramaeker got by James Greene of Idaho with a 16-13 decision win.

Dane Hartmann won at 197 pounds, taking down Ryan Sulpizio of Idaho with a pin in 1:11 in the championship match.

149-pound wrestler Alvy Henderson was second, losing in his weight’s final to Hudson Garcia of Washington State in a 7-2 decision.
