VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At Monday nights Express Wrestling Practice, guests of the night were the members of the Hi-Liner Boys and Girls wrestling teams. Valley City Express Wrestling holds 3 different levels of practices during the week. Level 1 consists mostly of younger, new and inexperienced wrestlers. Level 2 consists of wrestlers that have been competing for 3 or more years. And new to this year, with the tremendous growth in girls wrestling, the Express girls have their own practice.
The Hi-Liner Boys and Girls wrestlers joined in at all 3 levels of practice, to hang out with the kids, play games, talk, encourage, and wrestle with them. It was a great night of creating bonds, team building, and the veteran wrestlers telling stories about their wrestling journeys, and their time as an Express wrestler.
The nights ended with some up-tempo dodge ball games, and the girls even had their own dance party. Hi-Liner and Express wrestling coaches were all present, and all reaffirm this is a fantastic way to build the teams, establish the expectation, create the culture, and continue on the storied success of the Valley City Wrestling program.
